Imani
Imani (born 2011) is a female lurcher who was handed in after a lifetime of pumping out pups.
She arrived at her foster home meek, confused and quite shut down but a different, puppyish, Imani has emerged who is making up for lost time. She is playful, active and tough as old boots. She may be older but she can get up to all sorts of devilment when home alone with her houndie mates but it’s a joy to see this side of her.
Imani will definitely need another dog in her life or home, ideally another hound though a kind but playful dog who will run with her and who doesn’t mind some rough and tumble would also be fine.
She loves her walks and can easily cover 5/10 km at a time. She can be a little strong on the lead at times since she is eager to see as much as she can of the outside world.
Imani is house trained, used to the car and sleeps all night. Imani also has a timid side so is looking for a quietish home without small children who may move too quickly and startle her as she is still adapting to life as a pet.
Imani is a sweet and loving girl but quite independent and knows her own mind. She is very gentle around people and loves a cuddle but prefers to hang out with the resident dogs for most of her time.
She cannot live with cats or small furries as she will have been encouraged to hunt by her previous owners. She is neutered and microchipped.
