McLaren
McLaren is a young male Saluki with all the characteristics that come with his breed……energetic, cheeky, inquisitive, stubborn, naughty, impatient, affectionate and the regal disdain that seasoned saluki owners know only too well. He is a very sociable boy who likes to stop and say hello to people and other dogs on his walks but doesn’t like to waste too much time on gossip as he has places to go and things to do!!
McLaren loves the car, is house trained and walks well on the lead.
Being in a home for the first time, having been picked up as a stray, has been entertaining for McLaren but not so much for his foster family. If it’s not nailed to the floor, then McLaren considers it to be “his” and in true saluki style, never looks guilty if caught. Shoes, socks, clothes, food, toilet rolls ,books, rugs, post and parcels have all been found in the garden ,some intact,…some not ..but you have got to love his enthusiasm for his new life and all the wonders it holds.
McLaren is slowly (we do wish we could press fast forward!) learning the do’s and don’ts of household living and is improving ….He now understands NOOOOOOO and is learning that certain things are off limit.
At night, McLaren goes to bed with his foster mum and is happy to remain stretched out across the pillows until the following morning ,when it’s time to get up.
He is looking to own a home and family that enjoy the outdoor life, finishing up with chills on the sofa and one that would love a cheeky, opinionated character with a big heart. His new home needs to be one where McLaren will have lots of human company as he really does enjoy being around people (who else will attend to his needs?!) and can’t be left alone. With lots of human company,
McLaren would be ok as an only dog as long as he can have regular play dates or if with another dog, it needs to be playful, kind and fun.
He is neutered and microchipped.
