Meet our big Monkey

 

 

 

 

 

Monkey (born September 2011). This big ex- racing greyhound has just found out that his life’s work is no longer required by humans and that chasing is not what they want of him now.

Monkey has made great progress and is now in foster care where he enjoys his home comforts as you can see. His fosterers say he is quiet at night, clean and walks well on the lead. He is a bit reticent at taking treats from their hands but enjoys a little play with his toy when he thinks no one is looking.

 

 

 

 

 

Understandably, he will need some time to adjust from track to couch but shhhh!…..he is not a brave boy and can panic at sudden movements or unfamiliar sounds, so will need someone who can keep him safe while he learns about life outside racing kennels.

 

 

 

 

 

He would be best in a home without young children and he cannot live with cats.

An existing steady, largish dog would be the ideal schoolteacher….dare we say “ Monkey see, Monkey do!” so please get in touch if you have a handy hound twiddling his paws who can help Monkey enjoy the life he deserves.
