Liga
Liga is a big female lurcher (probably a saluki Bedlington cross) aged about 2 who is looking for a very specific home (see below). She came from a situation where a fear of humans would have been learned at an early age, was emaciated and terrified with a gash on her leg. It’s a credit to her wonderful, forgiving nature that she is now an amazing, affectionate girl who loves her cuddles, is relaxed and happy but only in the company of those she knows. When meeting new people, her past does come back to haunt her and she can be very shy and could bolt. She walks well on the lead and is housetrained but needs someone willing to let her unpack her bags at her own pace by showing patience, common sense and understanding as she adapts to her new home. She could live with respectful children over 10.
What helps her forget her troubles is the company of other dogs and she will play with vim and vigour so the dog or dogs in the home will have to be ok with that. She takes a few moments to relax when meeting any new dog but has made many doggy friends in kennels so needs a home with one or more playful, robust dogs.
Being both big and young she needs a large, secure garden where she can tear about.
She needs a quiet rural home with no small furries.
She needs someone home most of the day.
She is neutered and microchipped. Please get in touch if you can meet all the above requirements as she has been through enough and we can’t set her up to fail.
